Turners & Growers

Claim Procedures

In circumstances where the trade buyer feels the produce does not meet the label claim:

1. The buyer must lodge the claim within a reasonable period of the produce being received at the consignment or sales destination advised by the supplier.

2. The buyer should contact the sales person who made the sale, who will attempt to negotiate an acceptable outcome for all parties as soon as possible.

3. Should this negotiation not be successful the buyer at his own expense can call for an immediate, independent assessment from a list of approved assessors throughout the country.

4. If this assessment proves the buyer's complaint a new price will be negotiated, but if no sale is possible, responsibility and ownership will revert to the grower.

At all times the supply and purchase of produce is subject to the terms and conditions currently in force, further copies of which are available upon request at any branch.
